PASH CAPSULE

Was Magdalene's street response to her perceived academic, poetry-for-poets general climate about Melbourne and globally, and in particular the gap in love poetry publishing. The facebook-only 'love poems and provocations journal' harnessed the then just booming social media zeitgeist, particularly its interactivity and photo album format, and dispensed, like medicine, love poems by Australian and overseas writers in accessible, iconic red+white capsules. PASH published sophisticated yet accessible, contemporary love poems no longer than the sonnet size of 14 lines. The artist's overflowing in tray however meant closing the self-resourced page sooner than envisioned. The PASH BOOK project for later release will include such examples as below. ​Magdalene Carmen had earlier been published in various literary AU journals including the nationals Quadrant, The Weekend Australian, Australian Reader (now defunct online journal).
